Cheesy Mouse Trap
The Cheesy Mouse Trap
This is a Swiss Cheese Mouse Trap that I designed just for fun. Bait would be put at the front of the trap and when the mouse walks across the trip lever the door closes and is held shut with magnets in the door and floor.
STL files for this trap are available at Printables and can be found HERE.
I printed two of these the first one seemed a little small so I enlarged it 125% and printed a second one. This is the second one printed in Yellow PLA.
The trap door had to be redesigned to add air slots and some room for any tails that might be sticking out when the trap is set. (There may have been a casualty during the first test 🙁 that lead to the redesign.)
This was the first print that was smoothed and finished with a yellow spray paint.
Here you can see the size difference between the two traps.
The pieces and parts.
The trip lever is held in place with a simple pin that is sandwiched between the top and bottom pieces of the bottom.
The test subject was totally fooled.
A transparent view to show how the inner workings are situated.
Same view minus the body for clarity.
And last but not least a exploded view showing all of the parts.
