Creature Swimbait

This is a creature swimbait I am currently designing. I noticed when fishing my 4 Tail Grub I caught a good number of fish on the retrieve so I decided to make a similar lure in a swimbait design.

The basic design is a combination of my Four Tail Grub and my Micro Swimbait.

The body is going to be made from soft plastic….

…While the head will be a lead jig head design.

Much like my 4 tail grub the mold for the body is made from 4 pieces.

Here is what one top piece looks like.

The finished lure is not to much different from my four tail grub. The body is more swimbait like and there are front flipper fins.

I did a few different colors for testing and just paired it with one of the jig heads I already made.

Just like my four tail grub the tails came out great with minimal flashing.

Here is the swimming action. (sorry for the crappy GIF). The front fins really didn’t do much so I think I’m going to redesign them and change the tail a bit too.
