Underspinner

This is the 4rd version of the Lead Body Tail Spinner that I made before while using the same mold except this time it’s an under spinner version.

Using the same mold I cut off the eye of a Size 3 hook and bent a new form with a bait keeper. This is how it all gets sandwiched into the mold before pouring in the lead.  I wanted to add a swivel in the bottom but I couldn’t get it to pour right as there wasn’t enough room for one.

Here is the poured lure before any clean up…

… and here is is after a little paint and with the blade added.

I’m not sure what I’m going to run on them for plastics but for testing I added a 2″ Slick Swim from Epic Bait Molds.

On the second prototype I just added an old grub because it had the same coloring.

Now it’s onto the testing phase……  to be continued.
