Hammerhead Shark Lure
This is a little hammer head shark that I found on Thingiverse. I really don’t think it will have any kind of action but it looked fun so I wanted to make it anyway.
It was suppose to print in a single piece but I did it in halves. It was also pretty small so I enlarged it 150% so it came out about 3 inches long.
I didn’t have any hooks that would fit so I filed a slot to fit what I had on hand.
The hook is glued in place but the tie on point should hold it from pulling out too.For the from tie on point I just used another hook and trimmed it down.

Here’s how it looked after gluing the two halves together.
With the way I did the hooks I had to drill a few more holes behind the weight chamber to added BB’s in the rear to get the lure to float so it was level from side to side.
I then filled everything in with spot gazing putty.
I painted everything pearl white then sprayed some silver on the top and then darkened that up with some transparent black.
Details like the mouth and gills were just drawn on.
I was hoping it would float at a slight angle when done but it kind of floats vertical with the head up. I’ll try fishing with it eventually but I basically did this one just for fun.
