Mini Kraken’s

These are smaller ultralight versions of my Kraken Creature bait that I am trying to make for someone who wanted some micro type baits. These are just scaled down from the original design so some of the detail features are not as prominent.  This is still a work in progress.

The first mold I made was scaled to 55% for a finished bait of just about 2 inches.  I thought it was a little small so I also tried a 70% version that came in slightly larger at 2.5 inches. These are both molds ready to be injected.

Here are the first injections of the molds… they are not perfect as some of the appendages didn’t shoot (no venting) but should be good enough test and catch some fish.

After injecting a few of the little ones with mediocre results I decided to just print a larger cavity mold in the 2.5 inch size.

I uploaded one half of the smaller sized mold to one printer and one half of the larger size to my other printer by mistake so in the end I ended up just printing both sizes in 8 cavity molds.

Here is the 2 inch version… again not all of the appendages filled in on these either but then again there are really no vents on anything and this was only the first injection so I didn’t use a lot of pressure either.

Overall some of them came out OK (I guess?) but they are still all fishable.

Here is the first injection of the larger 2.5″ size. I had some small flashing issues but that was a clamping problem and not to do with the mold.

These also had some missing features but again this was only the first injection.
