Ned Craw
STL’s for this lure are available for purchase from Cults3d.com
This is a micro soft Ned Craw bait for ultralight fishing. I made these to pair with the custom Ned Heag Jigs I made recently.
The basic design is just a shrunk down and slightly modified version of the Soft Crayfish Lure I design before.
I designed a 3 cavity injection mold for this bait.
Just testing the Jig head size before the first injection.
I not sure if I used to much pressure or if not all PLA+ is the same but I had a blow through on the main runner and filled part of the mold with plastisol during the first injection using this mold. This was my first mold using this color PLA but it’s the same PLA+ from eSun I always use so I’m not sure what happened here. Overall this is not a problem because it’s just in the runner and doesn’t affect the usable part of the bait. (Edit – I think this ended up being because of screwed up print settings.)
Here’s a few of the first finished baits rigged up and ready to test. The overall body of the bait is about 1.5 inches and should be the perfect sized bait for everything from panfish to bass.
Even with the problem with the mold I’m still able continue to amass a little army of Ned craws.
Here is the smaller Ned version compared to the my original soft crayfish lure.

Awesome work , I will be ordering a 3d printer soon and want to start into moldmaking . Marine veteran was told to get a hobby lol . Any sugestions on how to learn the program ?
Just check out some of the tutorials on Youtube. I assume your starting with Fusion 360… there are tons on there that can teach you everything from the basics to advance stuff. 3D printing is a never ending rabbit hole you’ll find all sorts of things you can print.
