Old School Lures
Old School Lures
These are not very exciting but back in the day (some 30+ years ago) I use to hand carve a lot of my own lures from balsa wood. Mainly out of necessity because I was a broke teenager who would rather go fishing then go to work. They were all just hand painted and never sealed so they took a beating over the years. I still keep them in my tackle box though… probably more for sentimental reasons but I still do use them now and again. I’ve caught a lot of fish on the white topwater one… that use to be my go to lure right at dusk.
A few old crank baits… I actually caught some nice bass on the white one last year (2017) I think I might make a 3D printed version of this one next.
Another crankbait… this was more a of a shallow runner if I remember correctly.
Lastly a few poppers that have seen much better days. they use to have tails (feathers and such) but have been to abused over the years.
