Severed Finger Lure

3D Printed Severed Finger Lure
I made this as a Halloween Lure. (that’s a thing right?) I can’t claim credit for the awesome model as it was found on Thingiverse and I just remixed it in Tinkercad into a lure.
After printing it was airbrushed with acrylic and Createx paints.
I then used #4 (I think) hooks for hardware.
It looked a little more realistic before the clear coat finish but i think it still came out looking great.
It floats pretty well in the water but I’m not sure what (if any) action it will have. I will probably do another one and add a clear lip.
This is how the fish will see it. It will probably be good for snapping turtles. 🙂
Don’t wag your finger at me. (Quick GIF of it in action.)
7/15/21 – Manged to get a dink on the finger. (The pictures are weird because they are frame grabs from GoPro app.)
He must have been hungry.
10-21-21 = New version of the Finger… I moved the hooks back a bit. On the old one the front hook wrapped the line a lot…
…and it’s much easier to walk the dog with it.
