The Schoolie

This is the 3rd version of the Lead Body Tail Spinner that I made before while using the same mold. This one I’m hoping simulates a school of bait fish. The lead body was covered with chrome HVAC tape before painting to add some more shine to the lure.

Using the same mold as the original tail spinner I used three pieces of .025 wire stick straight out the rear of the mold before pouring the lead.

Once poured I just bent the wires in different directions and then hung small willow leaf blade from.

I haven’t tested the swimming action yet but even if it does work it probably won’t have the best hookup rate with only a single hook but it was just another idea I came up with so it was worth trying.
