The “BOMB” Lure

3D Printed WWII Bomb Lure
This lure is the “BOMB” it’s literally a novelty AN-M30 WWII 100lb Bomb fishing lure. This is a scaled down version of the scale desktop display bomb I printed awhile ago and I thought it would be fun to turn it into a fishing lure.
The finished lure measures about 4 inches long.
I’m hoping the nose fuse arming vane acts like the propeller of a tiny torpedo.
There’s a tail fuse vane also so hopefully that adds some noise and bubbles to the action too.
Here it is after clear coating. I left it gritty to give it that rough bomb case look.
(It’s also wet in these pictures so it looks a lot better in real life.)
Unfortunately the clear coat made the lettering run a bit but I’m still happy with how it came out and the fish won’t mind.
It does kind of work like a tiny torpedo but I haven’t caught anything on it yet… it’s only been in the water for testing.
7/15/21 – Managed to get a dink on the refined version of this lure.

Is there somewhere I can purchase one of these lures?
