Triple Tail Grub

This is just a triple tail version of my four tail grub that I design before. After designing my Octoworm I wanted to play around some more with round molds so I though I’d try a three tail grub as it was pretty simple to just change the design I already had with the 4 tail version.

Three tails meant a three piece mold this time… which is something else I wanted to experiment with.

The mold pieces were printed standing up this time so I gave the faces a quick sand to knock of any round edges formed during printing.

The pins were printed separately and glue in place afterwards on the left side of each piece.

The hinge pin holes on piece #1 were oblong to allow the final piece to slide in place.

The parts are assembled with the piece numbers going in a counter clockwise direction and the round design mold allows for easy clamping with pipe clamps.

The first injection went well with only minimal flashing.

The finished first bait.

The action on these should be very similar to my four tail version but I’ll have to get them in the water to see how they look to be sure.
