Wacky Worms

These are some Wacky Worm style baits that I am currently working on. These are all kind of unique baits that are meant especially for wacky worm fishing.

The first design I came up with is suppose to resemble a Hellgrammite. The finished bait will be about 5″ long.

This is a 2 cavity test mold for starters. I designed this one with a lot of vents for all the legs so I’ll have to see how that works out.

Quick test print to get a real feel for it. I’m loving it so far… I think this one is going to be killer.

This one needs a little work still… the legs are a little thin so they had a ton of flashing.  Back to the drawing board for this one….

Should work as a Ned Rig setup too.

The next design I’m calling the Wackipede.

  This one injected pretty well but I think the legs need to be thinner for better action as they really didn’t flop around in the water like I hoped.

Here is the second iteration with thinner legs and the ability to inject with an o-ring in place.

It came out alright for a first injection although I’m missing a leg or two.

All of these baits were also designed to be able to be split in half to run on a Ned Rig too.

This one was just an experiment were I took the tail of my Mini Reapers and joined two together and made a fat body in the middle.

Just for more experimentation I did this one as a three cavity with the runner going though the bodies.

It injected OK but the body is really fatter than I thought and didn’t have a great action so back to the drawing board with this one too.
