This is a Kombat Komet built from plans that were in Model Airplane News back in July 1999. This was a real simple plane to build I think I built it in one day and it flew awesome. I never really flew it in any combat meets just some informal stuff at the club field. I don’t think it was scale enough for real meets anyway. I think it called for a .10 – .20 but I put a .25 in it and it was a real rocket, at full throttle if I blinked it was all over. I did break the wing of once or twice but it was real easy to fix. I ended up retiring it one day and just threw it out. I will build another one of these some day as I still have the plans somewhere.

It’s suppose to resemble a German Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet from WWII.

I just copy/enlarged the plans right out of the magazine and taped them all together.

The start of the fuselage.

Fuselage starting to take shape.

Almost completed.

Side View.

Engine Mounted.

Wing panels cut and sanded to shape

Elevons installed.

Sprayed on a little latex paint.

Few minor details and it was finished and ready for Combat!
