Lite Machines Heli – 110
Lite Machines Heli – 110
This is my LMH, I never really was interested in getting a helicopter untill I saw one of these fly and it looked like a blast.
This actually came as a kit so you had to build the entire thing. It was a fun build and I learned a lot about how RC helis work.
I had to start out with some training wheels.
Learning to hover in the backyard.
The unique/simple thing about the LMH was you didn’t control the pitch of the blades you just used throttle to control your height (so to speak).
There wasn’t much to it… the frame was wood and everything basically just screwed to it.
Yeah there were some boom strikes while learning.
Like every other LMH after flying it for awhile the VMax6 engine started giving me trouble so I tried turn it into a Heavy Machines Heli and modify it to take and O.S. 10FP.
The O.S. 10FP with new head and clutch.
New Fuel Tank
Although the engine runs great with an airplane prop on it once the clutch installed I can’t get it to run right. This too has been sitting in the closet since 2000. I know they made an electric version of the LMH so again with the advancement of brush-less motors these days maybe I get around to converting it sooner or later.
