Extended Slide Release
Extended Slide Release
This is a extended slide release I made for a Beretta U22 Neos for speeding up reloads during action shoots.
The stock slide release button on the Noes is tiny.
I run a custom grip on my pistol that is molded to my hand and to activate the stock release I would have to change my grip on the gun to be able to reach it with my thumb so I decided to make a custom extension.
I started by removing the stock release and drilling and tapping a 2-56 hole in it.
I then traced the outline onto a piece of aluminum and milled out a recess in it that matched the stock piece.
A quick test fit.
Next I rough cut it to shape on the band saw and drilled the mounting hole.
After some shaping with a file and sandpaper it’s ready to mount.
It is then screwed and JB welded to the stock release.
I also coated the entire top with JB Weld to smooth everything out.
After a little more sanding and paint it’s ready to use.
I no longer have any trouble hitting the release without changing my grip. The piece has been on there since 2010 and it still going strong to this day.
